Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) is the third oldest university in Greece, offering high-level undergraduate and postgraduate education and research in agricultural science. The InPlasTwin team leader at AUA is Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Savvas, the Dean of the Faculty of Plant Sciences and Director of the Laboratory of Vegetable Production at AUA. He specializes in vegetable production emphasizing on plant nutrition, water management, greenhouse crops, abiotic stress physiology, and soilless culture.
He has published over 130 papers in refereed international scientific journals (h-index=33) and 52 other papers in congress proceedings and as book chapters. During the InPlasTwin activities, his team will share their facilities and extensive experiences and knowledge on soilless production in greenhouses, vegetable grafting, irrigation of vegetable crops, vegetable crop nutrition, greenhouse environment control and its impact on vegetable production and quality, greenhouse gas emissions, biological nitrogen fixation, and postharvest physiology of vegetables.
