Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the use of your personal data by the InPlasTwin project – this project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme under grant agreement No 101160289.

It applies when you communicate with us via e-mail, telephone, the contact form available on the website, and our social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram – hereafter referred to as “Social Media Channels”); or when you interact with us at fairs and events.

1. Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

1.1 Your personal data are processed by Foodscale Hub, dissemination and communication partner of the InPlasTwin project – this project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme under grant agreement No 101160289. You can contact us via e-mail at info@inplastwin.eu

2. How do we collect data and what categories of personal data do we process?

We collect and process your data when you:

  • Visit our website
  • Subscribe to receive our news (via a Mailchimp form)
  • Attend or participate in live events

2.1 When you fill out the contact form on our Website or contact us via email, telephone, or Social Media Channels, we may collect some or all of the below-mentioned information:

  • Basic identity information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company name, and job function.
  • The content and technical details of your communication (e.g., recipient, date, and time).
  • Your preferences for receiving email communications, such as newsletters and advertisements.
  • Electronic identification data, such as IP address.
  • Any other personal data you choose to share publicly.

2.2 Whenever you leave us your business card or interact with us at fairs and events at which we are present, we may collect:

  • The basic identity information you provide us with, such as name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, the company you work for, your function (i.e. when such information is provided by you or shown on your business card);
  • Your image.

3. For what purpose do we use your personal data?

Foodscale Hub processes your personal data for the following purposes:

3.1  To provide you in a personalized and efficient way with the information, products and/or services you request via the Website, e-mail, telephone, Social Media Channels and fairs and events.

3.2  To communicate with you as a result of our contact at a trade fair and/or event or as a result of your approach via the Website, e-mail, telephone or one of our Social Media Channels.

3.3  To perform statistical analyses so that we may improve our Website, our products and services or develop new products and services.

3.4  To comply with legal obligations or any reasonable request from competent law enforcement agents or representatives, judicial authorities, governmental agencies or bodies, including competent data protection authorities.

3.5  To preserve the legitimate interests of the InPlasTwin project, its partners or a third party if your use of the Website, Social Media Channels or other communication channels can be considered a violation of rights, a threat to security, or otherwise inappropriate or illegal.

3.6  For marketing purposes, i.e. to provide you with targeted communications, promotions, offerings and other advertisements of the InPlasTwin project and selected partners. Such communications will only be sent if you have explicitly consented.

4. Why is our processing of your personal data legitimate?

4.1 For the processing of your personal data for the purpose outlined in clause 3.1, we ask for your consent.

4.2 Although Foodscale Hub is registered in Serbia (a non-EU country), the data protection law in Serbia is fully aligned with the GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. All processing is conducted in accordance with EU Horizon Europe standards and guidelines.

4.3 Processing for the purposes outlined in clauses 3.2, 3.3, and 3.6 is necessary for the legitimate interests of the InPlasTwin project, including:

  • Responding to your requests;

  • Communicating your personal data to partners in the project to provide you with adequate information;

  • Defending against legal proceedings;

  • Continuous improvements to the Website, Social Media Channels, products and services;

  • Keeping our systems safe from misuse and illegal activity;

  • Marketing and promotion of project activities.

4.4 For processing your personal data for sending communications, promotions, newsletters and other advertisements, Foodscale Hub will request your consent.

5. What are our quality assurances?

5.1 We process only those personal data which are necessary to achieve the listed purposes.

5.2 Your data is securely stored by Foodscale Hub on a password-protected server. Only authorized personnel have access. Data will be stored 60 months after project completion.

5.3 We take all the appropriate technical and organizational measures to keep your personal data safe from unauthorized access or theft as well as accidental loss, tampering or destruction.

6. What are your rights?

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.

  • Request correction of inaccurate data free of charge.

  • Withdraw consent at any time.

  • Request deletion of personal data when no longer necessary.

  • Request limitation of processing in certain circumstances.

  • Oppose the processing of data for justified reasons, or oppose direct marketing at any time.

  • Receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
