InPlasTwin at the BelTox Conference

On 4 December 2025, Dr. Milica Velimirovic (VITO) participated in the Annual Meeting 2025 – Unmasking Microplastics: Impacts, Challenges and Implications for (Eco)Toxicology held in Brussels.

Dr. Velimirovic delivered a presentation titled “Low µm-range microplastics and nanoplastics: finding the needle in the haystack”, where she also introduced the activities of the InPlasTwin project alongside related initiatives, including REMEDIES, Nexus monARC, SSbD4CheM, and Upstream Horizon.

Her contribution highlighted the scientific challenges associated with detecting and characterising low-micrometre microplastics and nanoplastics, while emphasising the value of cross-project cooperation in developing robust, environmentally safe, and sustainable analytical approaches.
