InPlasTwin Presented at the 4th Microplastic Symposium in Bergen

On 20 November, Majda Nikezić (JSI) was invited to deliver a 20-minute lecture at the 4th Microplastic Symposium, where she presented the InPlasTwin project, outlining its objectives, current progress, and the key scientific challenges the consortium is addressing. Her lecture highlighted how InPlasTwin is advancing analytical capacity and supporting the development of harmonised methodologies for assessing micro- and nanoplastics in agricultural soils.

About the event
The symposium, titled “Microplastic contamination seen through different lenses,” was organised by the Plastic Network at the University of Bergen in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Research (IMR), the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), and the Norwegian Society of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

The event gathered experts in environmental science, human health, toxicology, and analytical chemistry, reflecting the complexity of microplastic pollution and its diverse impacts.
